Some time ago I wrote about my hassles of running Kubuntu on my old PC hardware. Back then I stated several problems that I had not been able to solve.
To make it short: I got some newer hardware (still used but a little more up-to-date) and furthermore the then most current Ubuntu release. So I switched the hardware and from Kubuntu to Ubuntu.
The result: A perfect functioning system that made me "wow" through its simplicity and completeness for several times.
Now I am confronted with a possible upgrade to Ubuntu 9.10.... a difficult question as one of my principles is "never change a running system" ;-)

As a computer engineering professional I thought it would be a good idea to get in touch with this Web 2.0 movement and all these flashy new social web applications. Having a record of being not very inclined to writing for fun I am quite curious if I will be able to bring this blog to live...
