And another success story: just upgraded to Ubuntu 10.04 LTS! Hopefully, I can fully embrace the long term support offering... as my computer grows older and older I suspect it will be a good idea not too aggressively upgrade to new systems any more.
A too aggressive upgrade strategy could leave me again with a non-functioning system. This happened before, as one can read in this blog...
But now I first have to get familiar with the new system. The first difference I noticed: windows have their window control buttons now located on the left side rather than the right side where they used to be (and where they are located also in MS Windows etc.).

As a computer engineering professional I thought it would be a good idea to get in touch with this Web 2.0 movement and all these flashy new social web applications. Having a record of being not very inclined to writing for fun I am quite curious if I will be able to bring this blog to live...
